Alie Kiral has appreciated perfume since she was gifted a Tom Fields Tinkerbell set & started stealing spritzes of her mom’s White Diamonds in the early ‘90s. She loves playing pinball, adopting chihuahuas & wayward cats, and watching the campiest movies possible with her husband Keegan.
Pearfat Parfum is founded out of Alie’s passion for exploring the body’s incredible senses, the anthropology of perfume, and making perfume a fun, accessible, welcoming space for all. She is a self-taught perfumer interested in the intersection of art, craft, history, and culture found in the world of fine fragrance. She has been learning on her own & with the help of mentors through the incredible Institute for Art & Olfaction.

About the fragrance
This is a scent about family - about being an Italian American woman. These are the scent memories of relaxing on the back porch of my grandmother’s house while she made way too much food - her tomato plants, the flowers, and the warm wood to stretch out on for a summer nap. The name, Kewpie Doll, is a nod to the future of my family - my adorable niece Wren, with cheeks like a kewpie.

Inspired by the 1966 film, Daisies - the world is spoiled, so perhaps we should be, too. Capturing the vivid palette of the film’s colors, the chaotic spirit of Marie #1 and Marie #2 eating and pranking their way through life, and the anarchic femininity that Daisies represents, Stomped on Bed of Lettuce is a green fragrance for schemers.

A young couple, all dressed up, glittering like the night sky, tumble out of the rain into Cliff Bell’s nightclub entrance to celebrate. The snare drum's sound greets them, then the snap of a hi-hat, a few notes on a saxophone as the band warms up. I attempted to bottle some elements of that magic here - a breezy, light, crisp floral evoking memories of stumbling upon an unending sea of color and greenery while wandering a wooded Midwestern path.
